Job Description Job Description Senior Geotechnical Engineer for an outstanding collaborative team in Jacksonville, FL . This individual serves a key function in managing client interaction, providing staff training and project leadership, preparation of technical reports, specifications, plans, designing foundations, retaining walls, and other geotechnical aspects of construction. In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally with top industry leadership in an ever-evolving environment.ResponsibilitiesLead the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing project and attend business development meetings with new and existing clientsPreparation of technical reports, specifications, construction plans, and geotechnical recommendationsPreparation of proposals, coordinating projects, managing clients and managing billingsProvide mentorship, coaching, and review of work for staffExpand services to existing clients, and the potential to develop new clients while maintaining strong billabilitySupport of excavation designs and Plaxis 3D analysisPerform and manage multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines. Monitor budgets, schedules, and project timelinesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; additional degree or considerable experience specifically within Geotechnical engineeringProfessional Engineer (P.E.)10+ years related geotechnical experiencePrior experience with geotechnical investigations and construction inspectionsOffice experience with investigation and field work coordination, geotechnical reports, and specification writingPrior field experience in earthwork, driven and drilled pile construction, load testing, footings subgrade and backfill inspection, ground improvements, retaining wall design and construction, and excavation support system design and inspectionSoftware knowledge in one or more of the following: gINT, Slide/SLOPE/W, PLAXIS, LPILE, GRLWEAP, MSEW, SHAKEExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilitiesAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environmentSome field work is requiredThis position features an array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives.
