You'll lead quality planning and execution from APQP to PPAP, with a particular emphasis on German OEM programs.Your Mission Plan and direct quality activities that uphold customer satisfaction, quality standards, and operating system compliance.Manage multi-level data collection and documentation; submit complete packages through OEM customer portals across multiple new product part launches (heavy German OEM concentration).Interpret GD&T and analyze dimensional layouts to qualify production parts, samples, and prototypes.Apply AIAG Core Tools—PPAP, APQP, MSA & SPC, FMEA—to build capable processes and reliable products.Lead cross-functional 8D problem solving (5Y, Ishikawa, Kepner-Tregoe) to achieve verified root cause and lasting corrective action; maintain an up-to-date 8D log and CI tracking.Use DOE, SPC, Pareto analysis, Cause & Effect, and Minitab to pinpoint variation and prioritize improvements.Investigate internal and external concerns; verify root cause and implement corrective and preventive actions.Reduce scrap and customer issues by proactively improving upstream processes.Define methods for discrepant material disposition and assess cost/responsibility.Travel to customers and suppliers as required for containment and problem-solving.Provide targeted dimensional feedback to Tool Room, Engineering, and Manufacturing.Coach proper use of measurement instruments on the production floor.Implement and audit IATF policies and procedures; consistently adhere to ISO14001, IATF16949, and safety requirements.Contribute within metal stamping and/or weld assembly operations.Work safely as a condition of employment; keep the work area clean and organized at all times.Perform other related duties as needed.Culture & Expectations Reliable attendance and a commitment to the hours needed to deliver.Maintain an efficient personal work area and share timely, accurate feedback.Communicate effectively—written and verbal—to strengthen teamwork.Positively accept instructions and duties; treat all co-workers with dignity and respect.Actively support our E&E values while following company policies and procedures.Credentials & Capabilities Required education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline from a four-year college or university.Ideal background: 5+ years of hands-on experience overseeing multi-level data collection and documentation, with OEM portal submissions across several launches (notably with German OEMs).Preferred experience: 3+ years in automotive manufacturing Quality; 2+ years in a fast-paced OEM/Supplier setting; participation in IATF certification and audits.Technical strengths: GD AIAG Core Tools; customer VDA audits; 8D/5Y/Ishikawa/Kepner -Tregoe; DOE, SPC, Pareto, Cause & Effect, Minitab; Plex and basic computer systems.Communication & comprehension: Strong written and verbal skills; able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; capable of interpreting written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.Math & problem solving: Proficiency in addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and basic algebra; adept at solving practical problems with limited standardization.Work style: Detail-oriented, organized, deadline-conscious, and effective at multitasking.Accessibility Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
