Job Description Job Description The Construction Superintendent oversees daily onsite operations for projects ranging from $1K to $5M. This role is critical in managing site logistics, subcontractors, schedule adherence, safety compliance, quality control, and budget awareness. As the eyes and ears of the Project Manager in the field, the Superintendent ensures that each phase of construction aligns with contract documents and exceeds client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead day-to-day project execution including scheduling, safety, and subcontractor coordinationMaintain regular communication with the Project Manager through reports and scheduled meetingsPrepare and update three-week look-ahead schedules and long-lead item logsOversee jobsite setup including trailers, fencing, temporary utilities, signage, and access controlMonitor field activities for safety, quality, production, and efficiency; lead weekly toolbox talksEnforce safety guidelines, site cleanliness, and compliance with OSHA standardsCollaborate with suppliers and field staff to ensure timely, accurate deliveries and invoicingAdminister and document field changes, inspections, RFIs, and coordination meetingsMaintain and update as-built drawings and project documentationDirect punch list activities, commissioning, testing, and project close-out proceduresQualifications5–10 years of field experience as a Superintendent in commercial constructionProven ability to manage teams and subcontractors across multiple tradesExcellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholdersProficient in interpreting blueprints, scheduling tools, and MS OfficeWillingness to work flexible hours and travel up to 2 hours outside of the MetroplexStrong problem-solving, organization, and time management skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in varying outdoor conditions (heat, cold, humidity) dailyCapable of lifting/moving up to 50 lbs and navigating active construction zonesRegular standing, climbing, bending, and use of mechanized tools/equipmentLocation Tyler, Texas and East TexasOffers: 401(k) + Matching; profit sharing; Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance; Paid Time Off; Collaborative, impact-driven team culture
