Job Overview:

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and tooling functions to support safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.

This role oversees process development, equipment performance, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with plant goals across safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role reporting directly to plant leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance, and Tooling teams; establish clear expectations and accountability
  • Own manufacturing processes, including design, optimization, and ongoing performance
  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime
  • Manage tooling and die operations, including design, fabrication, and continuous improvement
  • Lead capital projects such as new product introductions, equipment installations, automation, and capacity expansions
  • Ensure process capability and product quality through root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Drive lean manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards, including machine guarding and LOTO procedures
  • Manage budgets related to engineering, maintenance, tooling, and capital expenditures
  • Track and report key performance metrics such as OEE, downtime, and project execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 7–10 years of manufacturing engineering experience, including 3–5 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in process design, project management, and team leadership within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, equipment, and process optimization
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
