Overview

A growing medical device manufacturer is seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead a team responsible for inspection, compliance, and day-to-day quality execution on the plant floor.

This is a hands-on leadership role, overseeing a team of quality inspectors and associates while ensuring that products meet strict regulatory and internal standards. The position plays a key role in maintaining quality systems and supporting ongoing operational improvements in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will report directly to the Manager of Quality & Compliance and be responsible for driving both performance and development within your team.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Lead and manage a team of quality inspectors and associates, including scheduling, coaching, and performance management
  • Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure consistency and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards and internal quality systems
  • Review and maintain documentation, including Device History Records and traceability requirements
  • Support product release activities by verifying quality and inspection data
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and improve processes
  • Drive continuous improvement within quality operations, including inspection methods and workflows
  • Develop team capabilities through training, certification programs, and ongoing mentorship

What they're looking for

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in medical device manufacturing
  • At least 2 years of direct supervisory experience within quality
  • Hands-on experience in a regulated production environment

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of quality systems, documentation, and traceability
  • Experience working within ERP systems (QAD preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting

Leadership profile

  • Proven ability to lead and develop frontline quality teams
  • Comfortable managing change and improving team performance
  • Strong communication skills and leadership presence on the plant floor

Additional Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Compensation: $88K–$100K base, with flexibility for the right candidate
  • Relocation assistance is available for candidates open to moving to the Athens, TX area
