Financial Accountant

Second hand designer fashion is our core business high quality, sustainable, and growth-oriented. To ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, we are looking for an experienced financial or accounting clerk for our finance team in Hamburg to take responsibility and elevate our financial processes to the next level.

Your Responsibilities

Debitors accounting in the e-commerce environment: You will be responsible for the booking, monitoring, and reconciliation of sales from our online shop and various marketplaces even with large and complex data sets, you will keep an overview.

Daily business and data reconciliation: You will ensure that data from the inventory management system and payment service providers are fully, correctly, and up-to-date reflected and ensure high data quality.

Revenue posting and monthly processes: You will independently post and reconcile our revenues, analyze and resolve differences, and prepare the relevant accounts for the monthly closing including intensive work with Excel.

General ledger and closings: You will ensure the clean reconciliation of the general ledger accounts, manage the provision mirror, and actively participate in monthly and annual closings.

Tax reporting: You will handle sales tax issues such as VAT returns, OSS reports, and consolidated reports (CR).

Creditors and representation: You will assist in the booking and reconciliation of supplier invoices and purchases and take on representations in the team.

Process optimization: You will question existing processes, bring in your own ideas, and drive optimizations and automations.

What You Bring

Solid commercial training, ideally with further education as a financial or accounting clerk

Very good DATEV knowledge you work confidently in the system and can move around independently

Excel is not just a "nice to have" for you, but a working basis; ideally, you also have an interest in working in the Google environment and are willing to further develop yourself here

Good knowledge of accounting according to HGB

Solid tax understanding with a focus on VAT (no highly complex tax issues, but secure routine in daily business)

Structured, independent, and conscientious working method
