Overview:
Sentara Hospice Services is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Volunteer Services Coordinator.
Position Status: Part Time, Days
Position Location: Newport News, VA. This can be considered a hybrid position, with presence required on site for trainings, meetings, and events.
Pay Range: $19.47- $32.45
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits.
Overview
Responsible for the recruitment of volunteers to fulfill a variety of assignments; ensuring the volunteers receive and complete required training to perform their assigned duties; supervision of the volunteers. Incorporating guidance, support, direction and accountability; ongoing documentation of volunteer activities; Ensuring volunteer recordkeeping is up to date and compliance is maintained; processing and making assignments in response to requests for volunteer assistance; collaborating with staff at all levels in the agency; Engaging in the internal and external coordination of events, projects and department requests. Our volunteers can do clerical work, respite sitting with patients, and also assist with bereavement events. The candidate we are seeking must have a heart for hospice.
Education
- Bachelor Level Degree (required)
Experience
- Volunteer Coordinator experience (1 year minimum required)
- Volunteer experience (3 years minimum required)
