Description:

Our client, a growing oil & gas services company, is seeking a motivated Outside Sales Representative who enjoys building strong customer relationships, growing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions.

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for demonstrating effective communication and customer service skills to meet or exceed sales targets. This individual should be personable, results-driven, and possess strong negotiation skills. Success in this role requires the ability to engage customers professionally, deliver a positive experience, and contribute to overall brand growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers by building and maintaining long-term relationships within an assigned territory
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies; collaborate with leadership on sales action plans
  • Conduct face-to-face meetings to assess customer needs, provide education, and recommend solutions
  • Manage customer expectations by aligning deliverables with capabilities
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, customer accounts, and sales activity
  • Prepare estimates and bids for leadership review prior to submission
  • Negotiate with prospective and existing customers to close sales while coordinating with internal teams and vendors
  • Research and communicate competitor activity, pricing, and market conditions
  • Analyze customer needs to present effective, customized solutions
  • Stay current on industry trends and developments
  • Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address concerns
  • Grow revenue through account management, repeat business, and new client acquisition
  • Maintain knowledge of company services and relevant technologies
  • Perform additional duties as needed, including cross-functional support

Position Requirements

  • Ability to pass a background check, including an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License required
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical (if applicable)
  • Employment eligibility verification (I-9 and E-Verify participation required)
  • Willingness to travel, including overnight stays, and work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Proven experience in outside sales required
  • Experience in water wells, water plants, pumps, or electrical controls preferred
  • Strong negotiation, organizational, and communication skills
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building abilities
  • Basic understanding of engineering concepts, water chemistry, and three-phase power
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet research
  • Ability to set up and deliver presentations using a projector and screen
  • Must be responsive and available to support business needs as required
