Pick Pack Clerk

This position is responsible for all Pick Pack clerical and operational duties as outlined below:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Receive and print pick/pack orders on a daily basis. Distribute orders to appropriate areas.
  • Perform pick/pack duties with each product line independently
  • Enter sales orders for pick/pack operations as necessary
  • Process returns and restocking returns into inventory.
  • Create, maintain, and enter information into databases.
  • Use computers for various applications, such as database management or word processing.
  • Operate office equipment, such as fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for repairs when equipment malfunctions.
  • Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents associated with pick pack operations.
  • Operate electronic mail systems and coordinate the flow of information, internally or with other organizations.
  • Complete forms in accordance with company procedures.
  • Conduct searches to find needed information, using such sources as the Internet.
  • Learn to operate new office technologies as they are developed and implemented.
  • Train and assist staff with computer usage.
  • Provide services to customers, such as order placement or account information.
  • Coordinate shipping of products to various customers via freight or UPS or FedEx.
  • Confer with management to resolve problems, complaints, or grievances.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
  • Successfully navigate ERP software. Prepare Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Sales Orders and Invoices for successful warehouse, production and inventory operations.
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization of work areas on a daily basis.
  • Educate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization.
  • Demonstrate our core values through actions and words.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

High School Diploma and 2 years' experience in manufacturing and/or pick/pack operations.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach, and use hands.

Frequently required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally more with assistance.

Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment:

Regular exposure to warehouse conditions and moving mechanical parts.

Occasional exposure to outside weather conditions.

Moderate noise level typical of warehouse and transportation environments.

Compliance & Safety:

This position is designated as safety-sensitive.

Subject to applicable DOT regulations if operating vehicles meeting regulatory thresholds.

Subject to agency drug and alcohol policies where applicable.

Must comply with all Goodwill safety policies and defensive driving standards.

Use of handheld mobile devices while driving is prohibited except as allowed by law and agency policy.

Language Skills:

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:

Knowledge of basic arithmetic.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Cloud-based data access and sharing software

Word processing software

Electronic mail software

Reading Comprehension Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents.
