Project Manager (SCRUM Master)

CereCore is seeking a Project Manager with strong SCRUM Master experience and proven use of ADO Boards to join our team remotely. This position will function in a dual capacity, supporting both the Implementation and Technical Operations teams within the HCA Product group for the MEDITECH Expanse rollout. You will support agile delivery, optimize Expanse functionality, and help coordinate workstreams across teams to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.

You'll collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to drive efficient workflows, improve system performance, and support continuous improvement within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SCRUM Master for workstreams spanning both the Implementation and Technical Operations teams, ensuring adherence to agile principles and practices.
• Facilitate all scrum ceremonies: daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Utilize Azure DevOps (ADO) Boards to manage, track, and visualize work; help maintain accurate backlog, sprint, and workflow data.
• Identify barriers to progress and collaborate with leadership and team members to remove impediments.
• Coach teams on agile best practices and identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency and cross-team collaboration.
• Support Directors and Managers in backlog prioritization and strategic work planning across shared domains.
• Maintain key agile metrics—velocity, cycle time, burndown charts, dashboards, and other visual progress indicators.
• Provide hands-on MEDITECH Expanse experience, contributing to system build, troubleshooting, workflow optimization, configuration, and enhancement activities as needed.
• Analyze, document, and drive process improvements based on end-user and stakeholder feedback.
• Provide guidance on system capabilities and optimal workflows based on professional and technical expertise.
• Facilitate peer training, mentor team members, and promote knowledge sharing across both Expanse groups.
• Create documentation, reference materials, and training content for internal and external audiences.
• Maintain excellent communication with stakeholders; proactively clarify expectations, timelines, risks, and commitments.
• Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of assigned deliverables.
• Support task prioritization, estimation, and project planning activities.
• Participate in strategic planning and Statements of Work (SOW) development as requested.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement and incorporate lessons learned into team practices.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of MEDITECH Expanse build experience (any application area; broader Expanse experience preferred).
• Proven experience using ADO Boards for backlog management, sprint planning, workflow tracking, and reporting.
• Demonstrated SCRUM Master experience including facilitating ceremonies, guiding agile teams, and tracking performance metrics.
• Strong understanding of clinical workflows, operational priorities, and system build principles within Expanse.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
• Highly organized with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams.

• Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and processes.
• Agile/SCRUM certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to travel occasionally as required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or a related field preferred.
