Position Summary

The Director, Finance is responsible for financial analysis projects including budgets, forecasts, and performance evaluations. The role involves supporting various departmental activities.

Responsibilities

  1. Create and maintain accurate accounting records to reflect the financial position of complex entities.
  2. Conduct regular financial analyses and reviews to ensure compliance with accounting principles.
  3. Assist hospital CFO and departments in analyzing costs and profitability, setting benchmarks, and tracking performance.
  4. Perform process audits and develop improvement recommendations.
  5. Support the preparation and review of financial forecasts and ad hoc reports.
  6. Help prepare annual operating and capital budgets.
  7. Lead monthly Departmental Operating Review meetings, providing feedback on revenue and cost management.
  8. Coordinate with leadership on Capital Expenditure Requests and related financial planning.
  9. Ensure timely month-end close and reporting, including Monthly Operating Review reports.
  10. Assist in managing shared services relationships and monitor performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in an accounting environment.
  • Experience with multiple GL packages and Business Intelligence software is a plus.
  • Healthcare experience is advantageous.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
