We have an exciting opportunity at UT Health Tyler for a Director, Finance.

Position Summary

The Director, Finance oversees financial analysis projects including budgets, forecasts, and performance evaluations. Responsibilities include:

  1. Create and maintain accurate accounting records to reflect the financial position of complex entities.
  2. Conduct regular analyses to verify correct recording of activities according to GAAP.
  3. Assist in analyzing cost and profitability of service lines, and in setting and tracking performance benchmarks.
  4. Perform audits and recommend process improvements.
  5. Support forecasting models and ad hoc analysis.
  6. Participate in preparing annual budgets.
  7. Lead monthly review meetings and suggest revenue growth and cost-saving measures.
  8. Coordinate with CFO on capital requests, budgets, and service proformas.
  9. Ensure timely month-end closing and reporting.
  10. Manage shared services relationships and monitor performance.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 7+ years in an accounting environment.
  • Experience with multiple GL packages and BI software is a plus.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
