CARE Director of Ministry & Outreach

This position actively engages with individuals outside the organization to share the organization's
mission and values, all while aligning with the organization's spiritual beliefs and goals, requiring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills to effectively implement outreach initiatives.
The director will develop and execute outreach strategies to connect with individuals in the community, fostering relationships with local organizations, mobilizing volunteers, and leading various ministry programs aimed at sharing the organization's mission of providing healing and hope to those impacted by abortion.
The Director position will primarily focus on:
- Outreach to increase the number of participants going through the studies each year
- Outreach to grow the partners/funders
- Outreach to increase the volunteers
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning:
- Along with the CARE Board, develop and implement an outreach plan aligned with the organization's mission and vision, identifying key target communities and needs.
- Conduct community needs assessments to identify areas of focus for outreach programs.
- Work closely with the CARE Board to establish measurable goals and metrics to track the effectiveness of outreach initiatives.
- Responsible for building partnerships to increase participant referrals to CARE.
Program Development and Implementation:
- Oversee the development and execution of diverse outreach programs, including community events.
- Promote CARE's mission and activities within the community through events, presentations, and community engagement initiatives.
- Manage program budgets and resource allocation for outreach initiatives.
Community Partnerships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, community leaders, and other faith-based groups to collaborate on outreach initiatives.
- Identify potential partnerships to leverage resources and expand outreach impact.
Communication and Advocacy:
- Communicate outreach activities and successes to the community partners through various channels, including newsletters, website updates, social media and announcements.
- Represent the organization at community events and meetings to promote outreach efforts and advocate for the needs of the community.
- Integrate spiritual teachings and values into all outreach programs, reflecting the organization's core beliefs.
- Provide spiritual guidance and support to volunteers and individuals engaged in outreach activities.
Volunteer Recruitment and Training:
- Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to effectively participate in various outreach ministries.
- Foster a culture of volunteerism within the organization, providing ongoing support and recognition.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Faith Commitment:
Deep personal commitment to Christian faith and a strong desire to share the Gospel with others.
Leadership Experience:
Proven leadership skills in managing teams, projects, and initiatives.
Community Engagement:
Experience in building relationships with community organizations and leaders.
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively share the organization's vision and engage diverse audiences.
Organizational Skills:
Strong ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- A bachelor's degree in ministry, theology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in ministry leadership, outreach, or community.
- Prefer individual who has undergone past post-abortion training and/or healing or is familiar with the process.
